as you can see from my being outdoors, it was a beautiful day yesterday! I tried taking a snapshot of the sky but it didn't turn out too great...
anyways this was just a lil update as I haven't posted in a few days. im going to London tomorrow! getting a first class train in the earlyish morning and I'm so excited to browse round Camden!
I really really want to buy a Harrington or Levi denim jacket from birthday money but I also want to go record hunting too!
I started gossip girl today and I may be addicted already...
anyways I'd best get some sleep as I'm up early tomorrow, I'll post on the train!
hello again, i thought i'd do a lil post on how i like to have cosy pamper nights for myself as they've been a rarity lately!
okay, so these are a few things i like to use:
so i have a book, my iPad, a bubble bar, body butter, face stuff and some nail polishes!
so, first of all i like to run my bath:
in the bath i crumble the bubble bar under the running water and then get in. i like to tie my hair up as i find it really hard to wash my long hair in the bath! so i just wash myself, use a nice scrub, cleanse my face and perhaps read a bit too.
after i get out the bath i put on my face mask after my pores have opened a little bit from the steam:
i look like a ghost haha! so while that's drying i like to fetch myself a cuppa and light my burner, then moisturise my skin with body butter and then perhaps read or watch some youtube:
i have the 'baby powder' tart by Yankee burning, really fresh and soothing. zoella is one of my favourite youtubers, along with the whole group of hers! (any other viewers about??)
and then i proceed to wash the face mask off and brush my teeth and apply a moisturiser - my face felt so smooth oooh :)
and finally i like to paint my nails:
not very summery, i know, but i've been wanting to try out this combo for a while :) i really really recommend the Nails Inc top coat - it dries my nails sooo quickly and i'm awfully impatient when it comes to waiting for nails to dry! i also like to use the Essie nail dry oil, and then i go to sleep.
so that's pretty much my relaxing pamper night! i like to do these on sundays if i have the time, so i feel refreshed for the coming week.
thank you so much for reading, and tell me about what you like to do for your pamper nights! or perhaps you have another way of relaxing? if you want me to do any specific future posts, let me know by leaving a little comment, thank you :)
hello there again! i'm back and exam-free! i couldn't be happier with how all my exams went, i'm so relieved and ready to relax. before you read the rest of this post, play this song and chill with me...
right, carrying on. so after biology finished yesterday (11am) i went into town with my friend and did a lil bit of retail therapy, and we went to the west end of glasgow with more of our friends to chill at the park. it was lovely aw. and then today i went into town with another friend of mine and we got some lunch at wagamamas and did a lil bit more shopping ;) so here's what i got over the two days! oh, and by the way, this was what i spent my birthday money on :)
I've been needing a black pair of Joni jeans from Topshop as i adoooore my blue ones - they're the comfiest most wonderful high-waisted skinny jeans i've ever had, and £36 is a fairly reasonable price for what you get, they're very durable!
i also got this white crop top with flowers on the bottom and sleeves which was £22 (a bit pricey but i love it!)
the pink flower crown/hairband i got from Primark for only £2.50
and the phone case i got from New Look for £4.99
this black daisy skort i got from Topshop for £32, and it's made of a lovely floaty material which makes it appear as a skirt!
this floral bodycon skirt i got from Forever 21 for only £6.50 and goes perfectly with a white top :)
this is a playsuit i also got from Forever 21 for £16.75, i love the colour of this and that the top half is loose too :)
so i finally bought the Puma Suedes i've been wanting for a while now! all my guy friends have them and my Vans have lasted me over a year now so i was recommended these as they've been known to be suuuper comfy and durable :) these retail for £55 at Schuh, but if you have a student card you can get a 10% discount, so i got them for £49.50
i also went to Lush! i'm planning on having a chilled pamper night for myself to celebrate end of exams and no more studying for a while! so i bought the infamous 'The Comforter' bubble bar which smells divine for a good bubble bath! i also bought the 'Creamy Candy' bubble bar which smells like 'Snow Fairy' which only comes out at christmas time, sweet and delicious. i asked one of the assistants for a cleanser that was good for acne-prone skin and she recommended the 'Fresh Farmacy' cleanser which smells of chamomile and is lightly exfoliating - i can't wait to use it! and finally when i got to the counter i was asked if i wanted to buy a small 'Charity Pot' hand & body lotion and i did as it was only £1 and all the proceeds go to charity!
and last but not least, i popped into Paperchase to have a browse and i picked up these adorable sparkly letter postcards to spell out my name, and this pink polka dot washi tape to wrap up orders in as it's similar to the logo i've designed! more on that later when i officially open the store...
phew! bit of a long post there, might not have been very interesting, but i guess it's something! i hope you enjoyed the chilled-out song and feel a little more relaxed :) have a wonderful evening you lovely people, and i'll be posting again very soon. thank you all for giving me such a warm welcome back, i think i'll be here for a while :)
so apparently i was blessed with this musical talent thing called singing?
oh yeah, that's me there. singing. playing guitar. hello. that's me.
so i only have 2 exams left this week (french and biology hurrah!) so i'm going to do a lil bit of retail therapy on friday with a lovely friend of mine so i shall do a lil haul type post thing if that's okay?
so yeah, i kinda miss this whole community and i'd love to gain more followers so i can share my happiness with you all!
and erm, by the way, remember the bracelets i did last year for charity? well, i have my own lil business now and i'm opening my etsy store very very soon! i'll be selling necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and perhaps some very cute mason-jar style homemade scented candles? (oh, and don't tell anyone but all my lovely followers will be getting a secret discount code! shh)
so yes, hello wonderful people, this is me. i feel that it was about time you saw my face and heard me, it's good to be back.
I wanted to just post something as I've missed blogging recently and want to get back into it after my exams are done in a week, so I'll just gibe you guys an update then?
Okay, so last time I posted was June/July 2013. Wow.
Well, since then things ended with my boyfriend, but I'm loving singleton life at the moment! I did my prelim exams, I was in my theatre group's production of 'Grease' and, well, I'm in the midst of my final exams as we speak. I've done Modern Studies, English, Maths and Administration over the past 2 weeks, but next week I have Chemistry, French, Music and Biology all crammed into one - uh oh.
But anyhoo, I mainly want to get back into blogging because I've changed my lifestyle a bit recently. I turned 16 a few weeks ago, and decided that it was time to live life happier and healthier - and I love it!
I've always been one to say 'pfft, exercise' or 'veggies? bleugh', but slowly I'm starting to enjoy the choices I make and I feel so much better about myself.
I've cut out bad, sugary drinks from my diet and replaced them with fruit smoothies and fruit detox water
I eat 5+ portions of fruit and veg daily
I get up at 6:45am as often as I can and go for a power walk/jog (it's much better in the early morning, I promise!) and then I come back home, make a nutritious breakfast, and then do that day's 'Blogilates' workout!
I've found that I've been sleeping so much better, and I've been so much more cheery and bright during the day. I look forward to getting up early and listening to my music and enjoying the morning when no one else is out, and then having a big mug of green tea to warm up when I get back.
Of course, I can't deprive myself of my favourite foods can I?
Once a week I like to have a 'cheat' meal - tonight's pakora and chilli chips mmm...
And every now and then I'll allow myself some chocolate or sweets or whatever I've been craving, but if I'm wanting to be healthy, I'll have some chopped up fruit along with peanut butter and nutella dips, or add some hot chocolate powder to my banana smoothie.
Anyhoo, I don't want to ramble on too much longer - I might run out of content for the future! Don't expect a post from me until at least next Friday, the next week will be very stressful, but I'll see you on the other side!
