studying hard

hello my lovelies, not going to bore you all with an apology of absence (i know, it's been a while) but i quickly wanted to utilise this blog for the duration of exams as i'm finding it difficult to be motivated at the moment.

for my prelims i didn't do as well as i'd hoped; 1 A, 3 Bs and a C

English - 75%
Maths - 74%
Biology - 67%
Chemistry - 65%
French - 52%

this is just a way of documenting my progress as i really want all of these results to be over 85%!!

i would love to study medicine at university so i need to try really hard to get the grades up, but it's hard to commit sometimes.  i have a schedule waiting for me in the morning so i'd best go for now, but i'll update tomorrow with what i managed to do :)

typical summer morning

hello lovelies!  this is going to be a lil insight to what my typical summer mornings look like :)

rise and shine!  the first thing i do is take out my retainer and put it in its case, and then i switch on my little lights and browse my social media on my phone.  after i'm semi-awake i head downstairs to make breakfast!

typically i have a toasted cinnamon and raisin bagel with melted butter and a sprinkling of sugar on top!  i also must have my cup of tea in the morning ;)  i switch on my computer to a bit of browsing and pop on the Spotify playlist 'Hipster Morning' (don't judge)

this particular morning i was preparing my room tour post :)

next thing after i've finished blogging and eating, i get changed!  this is what i wear on a pretty chilled day :)

then i clean up!  (i had a shower the night before, but i more commonly have showers in the morning)

this is the makeup i wear daily - face, eyes and brows with a tinted lip balm for my lips usually, i like to keep it pretty natural :)

on this day i decided to quickly curl my hair!

i hate hate having extremely curly hair, i like to make it messy and beach wavey :)

and then i simply quiff the front bit back and that's about it!

yep that's pretty much it for my mornings - what are yours like?

room tour!

apologies for not getting to it sooner, but i was having a ma-hoooo-sive clean out of my room so it was extra nice to show you guys :)  i'll just get right into it!

if you came into my room and looked up, this is what you'd see!  i have bunting across the panel and i pegged my favourite polaroids in between :)

okay so coming into my room and on your left is my chair (pretty basic with pillows and a spare blanket) and the wardrobe is beside that.

and then beside the wardrobe is my lil bookcase with my favourite books and films on it (Mitch Albom is my favourite author and The Breakfast Club and Perks of Being a Wallflower are my fave films).  I have my most used bags to the left of the bookcase and to the left is a throw for my bed which isn't needed right now as it's summer!

this is my bed :) it's a single, and i love my bedding which i got a while ago so i wouldn't be able to tell you where i got it from!  and beside that is my bedside cabinet with my radio/clock/docking station thingy, a lamp and a candle :)  (there's a loft door to the right of that)

moving to the right i have this poster my friends made me for my birthday and some polaroids of us and memoirs :)  i keep my guitar in the corner too.

and beside that is my desk/workspace!  this is a unit from IKEA that i got in october, and i have all my school stuff in it (comment for a back-to-school series?)  i am a very studious person, so everything's pretty organised here!  i also have my iMac, and you can see the fairy lights when i put them on at night :)

on the side of the unit i stick all my gig and concert tickets up after i go to them (comment for a gig survival/gig experience post?) and i also have a signed Lucy Rose ticket and poster yay :)

beside the unit is the door to my dressing room!  the heart on the handle says 'powder room' hahah, and when you come in it looks like that basically.  i have a pink-ish sparkly hard floor which is great when i spill makeup or get water everywhere, so i can simply mop it up :)

and then to the right is my dressing table, which i have a mirror, perfumes and my makeup brushes/tools on it :)  i also have the circle lights and a marilyn monroe canvas.  to the left of that is a lil cabinet and then my dresser :)

the little box is my laundry box, and then i have a lil shelf unit thing which i've had all my life with a few pretty things on it :)  to the left of that is my sink and cabinet, with my face products and hand wash/moisturiser on top, and i've got all my other essentials in the cabinet :)  oh, and a mirror.

coming back into my room and facing to the left of my door there is also a full length mirror :)

just in case you didn't see, this one of my favourite parts of my room - my polaroid camera and my record player with a few vinyls :)

well, i hope that was what you were hoping for!  i absolutely adore my room to pieces, it's really a place of serenity for me and i couldn't be happier with it :)  i am currently taking pictures for a 'summer morning routine' blog post (as i'm doing this in the morning) so that should be up tomorrow!  remember to comment for a:

summer

so far my summer has been tiring, I'm volunteering 10-4 Monday-Friday this week at an old folks care home, and all I do when I come home is sleep.

I'm so sorry for not posting recently, I wanted to drop in and let those of you who read that I'm still here and I've not left. I'm coming down with something also, but I promise I'll post tomorrow, just please let me know in the comments which post you'd like tomorrow:

keyboard fixed!

i'm so so sorry for not posting recently - my keyboard was broken, therefore i wasn't able to sign into my computer or (more obviously) type a post!

anyhoo, it's summer!  can i get a heck yeah??

i'll be writing a seperate post on my trip to Camden soon, but it was wonderful!

also, my etsy store will be open next THURSDAY!!!  i'll write a post soon on what i'm selling and i would greatly appreciate it if you supported the shop!

but anyways, i'm back, do not fear, let's get things back up and running again eh?

beautiful day

as you can see from my being outdoors, it was a beautiful day yesterday! I tried taking a snapshot of the sky but it didn't turn out too great...

anyways this was just a lil update as I haven't posted in a few days. im going to London tomorrow! getting a first class train in the earlyish morning and I'm so excited to browse round Camden!

I really really want to buy a Harrington or Levi denim jacket from birthday money but I also want to go record hunting too!

I started gossip girl today and I may be addicted already...

anyways I'd best get some sleep as I'm up early tomorrow, I'll post on the train!
